Oxy.gen is an educational lab open to youth and citizens groups and it is dedicated to the breath, investigated especially in its scientific and sanitary aspects, but also in its connections with the well-being and its symbolical meanings.
Oxy.gen proposes a new model of health communication based on science and experimentation, but it can also be seen as a place of informal learning of science, of science’s method and values, based on health issues.
Oxy.gen is not in fact a place of traditional teaching, but a place in which you acquire knowledge in an active way. This is true both from a practical point of view, because activities are especially of an experimental kind, and from a cognitive point of view, because the visitor reaches his conclusions by himself, thanks to a path of participation and discovery. In other words, Oxy.gen offers engaging experiences, not just information.
